Hi, I’m James, a personal trainer, capoeirista, and super dad. My wife and I started our family business, The Family Dances, to make movement and exercise more accessible to everyday families. James Muwonge Fitness is The Family Dances’ boutique exercise service. We are based in Washington, DC* and also offer programs online. We cater to busy folks whose schedules fluctuate because they work hybrid schedules, sometimes at home and sometimes at the office. We also have super-flexible rescheduling and cancellation considerations for parents navigating the inevitable, unplanned moments of life with children. Having five kids of our own, we understand how it goes sometimes!
Our personal training packages have both in-person and virtual options, and sessions can be scheduled interchangeably as needed. I worked in the gyms for many years before Covid changed our lives and how we do things. We’ve spent a lot of time thinking through what would help people in our community, and especially parents on the go, be able to begin and maintain healthy exercise routines.
